Bryan Singer brought us the original X-Men movie franchise which he ultimately abandoned to ruin another superhero franchise, Superman. Matthew Vaughn, director of X-Men: First Class has dropped out of the sequel. 20th Century Fox already had a backup plan — bring in the guy who ruin the original movies.
Deadline is reporting that Bryan Singer tops the studio’s short list of replacement directors for the sequel, X-Men: Days Of Future Past. While it’s still a mystery as to who will play Ebenezer Scrooge (because seriously, that title?) FOX is looking to make a follow-up to the prequel franchise that did well in the box office and had critical praise.
If Singer takes the reins of the prequel sequel, it’ll likely include Liz Lemmon’s boyfriend.
