NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH Renamed “THE WATCH” [TRAILER]

After George Zimmerman took it upon himself to deliver (in)justice to Skittles and Arizona Iced Tea fan Trayvon Martin, FOX had a problem. With a lot of bad publicity surrounding the term “neighborhood watch” and an upcoming action-comedy with the exact name attached to it, the studio pulled publicity as it determined how to handle it.

Almost two months later the answer has become a name change. The Watch starring Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd) has this neighborhood watch team investigating an alien invasion. As long as the aliens aren’t wearing hoodies the movie shouldn’t dive too close to the controversy.

The Watch hits theaters July 27.
