Michael J Fox Returning To TV Next Fall

He made his mark with Family Ties in the 80s, Spin City in the 90s and now Michael J. Fox will return to television with a new series aiming to launch Fall of 2013.

Vulture reports Fox is working with Easy A director Will Gluck and Arrested Development and Cougar Town writer Sam Laybourne (he specifically wrote the AD episode “The Ocean Walker” for reference). That seems like a pretty well-seasoned staff to push the project forward. That and it’s Michael J. Fox!

According to the report, networks are practically stumbling over each other to be the network to bring the series to pilot. The star power and likability of Fox is an easy sell by itself.

Sony Pictures Television is set to produce the untitled series.
