She’s A Man, Baby! [UPDATE]
We’ve discussed the potential conspiracies behind the Manti Te’o hoax but now comes a detail that is sure to make the story all the more interesting. The NY Daily News reports that person (and more specifically, voice) that Manti Te’o fell in love with was a man.
Hoax mastermind Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, posing as the mysterious Lennay Kekua, was the falsetto voice on the other end of the all-night phone calls with the Notre Dame star, the scammer’s lawyer said.
UPDATE: Katie Couric’s site briefly had the voicemails available. Deadspin (who else?) grabbed them before they were taken down.
