Why It’s Going To Win: Because it’s Modern Fuckin’ Family. It wins every year. It appeals to old white people, which is usually a big boost when the majority of judges are old white people. Is Modern Family funny? Absolutely. Is it the funniest show on television? Maybe, but it doesn’t matter because as long as the show keeps chugging out storylines that appeal to old white people, the old white people (aka Emmy judges) will continue to vote it as Outstanding Comedy Series.
