If Cruel Intentions was an interpretation of the east-coast elite teens of the late-90s, Clueless was the west-coast version. Their lives are a lot less stressful.

Amy Heckerling (who appears again on this countdown, standby) has a knack for making awesome movies about high school that capture pop culture. We’ll save the rest of this for number one, but it’s basically what she’s good at.

While helping to launch some careers, the most notable is the introduction of Brittany Murphy, essentially acting as a launchpad for her career.

The movie spawned a syndicated TV series which also starred Stacey Dash, reportedly because she had “nothing else going on.”
